Abstract

This presentation shows that the gravity drainage rate of solvent-diluted heavy oil increases exponentially with temperature; Heavier crudes uses less solvent but generates much less oil drainage rate than lighter heavy oils; More solvent resides with oil at the bottom than that at the middle; Temperature shall be well maintained constant because a slight temperature falloff can cause a significant loss in drainage rate.
