Abstract:
This work shows that the proposed model accounting of volume effects during adsorption is a more adequate model to model observed excess adsorption than the DA model. The adsorption capacity and other key parameters estimated by the proposed model is more reasonable and accurate. The previous reported adsorbent swelling or shrinkage and gas absorption into organic maIer are all included in our model and explained by calculated volume changes. The dominate factor controlling volume changes is the overall adsorption stress.
