Abstract

This work shows that not considering hysteresis will result in underestimating the oil production in CO2-WAG. Moreover, including hysteresis effects has bigger impacts on the oil production in the case of low viscosity oil. Less CO2 is injected in WAG models with hysteresis. More CO2 is trapped in WAG models with hysteresis. An effect of hysteresis is independent of the reservoir wettability.
