Ehsan Amirian joined the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Calgary in May 2014 to pursue his Ph.D. degree. He obtained his M.Sc. and B.Sc.in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta and Amirkabir University of Technology, respectively. Being a member of “Reservoir Simulation Group”, he verily enjoys working as a team member and interacting with people to propose solutions for petroleum engineering problems. Ehsan’s research focuses on Data-Driven Proxy Modeling (DPM) for Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) methods. In particular he works on the practical application of novel Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods for recovery performance prediction during SAGD operations.
