Abstract

This presentation gives an optimum switch timing for Steam-Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) after Cyclic Steam Stimulation (CSS) in a Viscous Oil Reservoir.  The study shows that this method can give a better solution on the switch time of the CSS after SAGD process in a five-year fixed period thermal recovery.  The simulation also  shows that a polynomial trendline regression method is able to give a higher accuracy estimation on the switch time, and the switch time of other parameter value’s cases.
