Abstract

Miscible displacement processes depend on developing miscibility between the oil and the injected fluid, which means no interface and consequently zero inter-facial tension. First Contact Miscibility processes use a displacing fluid that is miscible with the oil in all proportions, which means the miscibility is developed as soon as the displacing fluid contacts the oil. The model of the miscible displacement process is established, by assuming first contact miscibility, single phase, constant pressure, concentration injection and no-flow boundary. The solvent concentration distribution equation and pressure distribution equation are established and solved.
