Mathematical Modeling of Solvent Chamber Evolution in a Vapor Extraction Heavy Oil Recovery Process

In this presentation, a VAPEX mathematical model is developed, which is able to describe sovent chamber evolution. This model shows that an oil production rate is strongly proportional to the squared root of drainage height and is proportional to the squared root of diffusivity in either lab- or field-scale; numerical dispersion in lab-scale is way less than that in field-scale.
