Abstract:

In this presentation, an improved model to capture the key chemical reactions in an ISC process is presented. We can see that this model can reasonably predict oxidation behavior under a wide temperature range.  The temperature and produced gas composition profiles form RTO tests are well matched with the improved model. Both combustion front velocity and liquid production from the combustion tube test are greatly matched. The presence of water/steam decreased coke deposition and increased the activation energy in LTO.
