Abstract

This work shows that constitutive models considering fracture mechanisms help capture the anisotropic deformation characteristics of irregularly fractured rock. The finite element program is implemented for nonlinear stress-strain relation. HISS model is implemented into the program, and this model can describe soil deformation behavior more accurately.
