Development of a Parallel Simulator Utilizing Multiple Interacting Continua and Embedded Discrete Fracture Models in Fractured Unconventional Reservoirs

This work builds a comprehensive model for unconventional reservoirs incuding multi-scale fractures, flow mechanisms in nano-pores and geomechanics effects. It also develops a simulator for fractured unconventional reservoirs with no restrictions for position and angle of hydraulic fractures. The accurate results and reasonable phenomena are obtained. The large-scale unconventional reservoir simulation is our ongoing work.
