Abstract

This paper examines a coupled geomechanics and flow model for tight gas condensate reservoirs. In the mathematical model, the governing equations for flow and geomechanics and iterative coupling approach are presented; and then the phase behavior modeling of rich condensate including the compositional simulation of condensate banking and K-value interpolation algorithm are introduced.

Finally, the coupled reservoir geomechanics model is established according to the elastoplastic constitutive model. Condensate saturation distribution inside the fracture and surrounding matrix block is confirmed by FATS and validated by GEM. Hui Deng also gives his future work, such as compositional modeling of linear critical fluid and validation with EOS, solve the hydraulic fracture deformation using DEAL. II and optimization.
