Abstract

History matching closed-loop can update models whenever field measurements become available; the purpose of this surveillance gathering is to reduce uncertainty. Assisted history matching can automatically create multiple realizations by combining the reservoir parameters, and then running new simulation jobs using an optimizer to determine the parameter combinations. The resulting analysis demonstrates that the surveillance testing workflow is able to remove the weak models from reservoir portfolio, and reduce the uncertainty of a SAGD reservoir for future work.
