In Yizheng Wei’s presentation, the research scheme for compositional modes is presented, which involves developing both the faster solver of fluid flow problem and more accurate EOS of equilibrium prediction. The material balance equations and equilibrium equations are handled separately by using flash calculation algorithm. K-value approach, Redlich-Kwong-Soave EOS and Peng-Robinson EOS are introduced. Finally, he gives his research targets, including robust multiphase flash algorithm with flexible specifications and stability test, developing robust extension for 4+ phases at equilibrium, developing extension property package programming interface to allow inclusion of specific user models such as viscosity models and so on.
