An Adaptive Preconditioning Strategy for Parallel Reservoir Simulation

In this work, parallel simulators are developed for reservoir simulation. The ILU and CPR-type preconditioners are implemented in our simulators. An adaptive preconditioning strategy is developed to improve the computational efficiency of the linear solution processes. It successfully combines the advantages of the ILU and CPR-type precondi7oners: low computational cost and great robustness. It decreases the computational time.
